We thank all those who came to our Christmas Masses and participated so prayerfully. Thanks to all who prepared the churches for liturgies, those who erected the cribs, cleaned and decorated the churches with flowers and prepared the Altar. Our gratitude to our Special Ministers of the Eucharist, our Readers of the Word, our Altar servers and their parents. We thank too our faithful Collectors and Counters. Many thanks to the directors and members of the various choirs who sang so beautifully and enhanced our Celebrations with seasonal Carols and joyful music.
Mile buíochas to all who support the parish so faithfully throughout the year and to all our volunteers, staff and helpers. May God bless us all this coming year.
The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph
The feast of the Holy Family inspires us to have confidence that God takes an interest in the generation of human life and blesses the loving union of man and woman. The family is the original cell of society. ‘It is the natural society in which husband and wife are called to give themselves in love and in the gift of life. The family is the community in which, from childhood one can learn moral values begin to honour God ad make good use of freedom. The grace of the Incarnate Word sanctifies and protects family life, making it a true path to holiness. “The family of Nazareth is holy because it was centred on Jesus” ‘Pope Francis
We pray for families
God and Father of all, you gave us the Holy Family to serve as an example of love and obedience. Give to all people, in family homes or alone the grace to hold in honour the bonds of love and respect that bind the human race, chosen for adoption as your children. Bless all families in our parish may they grow in ever increasing love for God and each other. Amen
Pro Life Mass: Friday the 3rd of January at 7:30pm in Dunshaughlin Church, followed by a reception afterwards in the Pastoral Centre. All welcome.
