Culmullen National School is a four teacher rural primary school, with a full time Learning Support Teacher and a part-time Rescource Teacher.
The school is situated beside Culmullen Church.
Our goal is to help every child realise his/her maximum potential and to equip him/her with the ability to enjoy his/her time at school. To create a happy and caring atmosphere, where school is a “nice place” togo every morning and where each child is valued as an individual.
We have a very active Parents’ Association and the current Chairperson is Michael Nolan. The Association runs a very successful ‘Plant Sale’
in May every year and a ‘Hunt Chase’ in November.
We have a school choir under the direction of Eithne Mooney and they rehearse every Thursday from 10am to 11am. There are Art classes after
school on Tuesdays taught by Maria Hutchinson.
The children are also very involved in Sport activities: Basketball, Badminton, Swimming and Football, Hurling and Camogie coached by Mr.
Geraghty, volunteers from Drumree/Dunshaughlin GAA and Transition Year Students from the Community College.
In the past the school has won awards for the Garden in ‘Pride of Place’ also for The Science Club run by Mrs. Traynor (5/6th Class Teacher).
