New Post Primary School for Dunshaughlin

As many parents and grandparents will know the Department of Education and skills has announced a brand new, 600 student post primary school for Dunshaughlin.

This School will be built in 2021.

The provision of a new Secondary School will offer real choice for parents. The Parish is happy to support the work being done by CEIST to secure a Catholic Post Primary School for the Dunshaughlin area.

CEIST a catholic Schools Trust, oversees 107 Post Primary Schools in Ireland, including Scoil Mhuire, Trim, Scoil Dara, in Kilcock and St Joseph’s in Navan.

Ceist schools have a very good reputation providing education for boys and girls in the Meath area and beyond. Dunshaughlin already has an excellent State Secondary School.

A New Ceist School will provide an alternative to the State School; it will give parents a choice. The proposal from CEIST is for a co-educational school with an lonad Lan Ghaelach giving more choice to children from the Gaelscoil who want to continue their education through Irish in the mainstream school.

Parents from 2nd to 6th  Class are eligible to vote and can do so on www.ceist.ie

It is really important that parents exercise the right to choose the school they would like for their children, vote for CEIST now to have a choice in the future.

Parents will need your Eircode and PPS no to vote.

Your voice matters, your vote matters. Please make sure you vote before Sunday the 15th of November.
