Baptisms in the Parish
We are receiving calls in relation to Baptism/christening. We welcome your calls, basically Baptisms like public Masses
are suspended for the present. However if parents want a child baptised please call us,
we can do so with restricted numbers ie. parents and god parents only.
Otherwise we can take bookings for June/July and hope restrictions will be lifted.
We pray God’s blessing on all babies waiting for baptism.

The Word of God in Lent
Lent is a time for prayer, fasting and penance but also for Reading
the Word of God. Reading the Scripture helps us to come to
know and love Jesus and walk in his ways.
‘When the Sacred Scriptures are read in the Church God himself speaks to his people,
and Christ present in His Word proclaims the
Gospel. Therefore the readings from the Word of God are to
be listened to reverently by everyone,
for they are an element of the greatest importance in the Liturgy’.
Pope Francis The Joy of the Gospel
